Rezumat

On February 10th, 2015, the Legal Research Institute “Acad. Andrei Rădulescu” of the Romanian Academy, in collaboration with the Union of Jurists of Romania, commemorated Prof. Constantin Bosianu (1815 - 1882), a foundational figure in Romanian legal culture, legal education, and the science of law.

The event took place in the Aula of the Academy and brought together prominent figures from various legal professions and fields, including academics, law enforcement officials, and public authorities. The commemoration aimed to honor C. Bosianu's extensive contributions, which spanned from his legal practice as an attorney to his role as a law professor and a key contributor to the Romanian Civil Code of 1864. He is rightfully regarded, alongside other influential figures of his era, as one of the architects of the modern Romanian state.
