In the current context of Russia's war in Ukraine, the security model in the Black
Sea region is subject to variable dynamics, and from the perspectives of Romania and
Ukraine, this necessitates a much deeper analysis.
The imbalance created by the war in the Black Sea region not only affects the two
directly involved countries but also generates profound and lasting repercussions for the
entire region and beyond. This underscores the need for proactive diplomacy and strong
regional cooperation to prevent the escalation of conflicts and ensure long-term stability
and prosperity.
The illegitimate, illegal, and unprovoked war initiated by Russia against Ukraine has
profound implications for the entire Black Sea region, creating a significant imbalance
and multiple challenges for all the coastal states. This paradigm highlights the importance
of regional cooperation and preventive diplomacy to restore equilibrium and maintain
security in this strategic area.
From Romania's perspective, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine in the Black
Sea region has deep and diverse implications. This underscores the importance of a wellthought-
out national strategy that balances Romania's security, diplomacy, and economic
interests in a volatile regional environment (Celac et al., 2016).

The Effects of Artificial Intelligence on Democracy

Abstract
The year 2024 at both the European Union and Member State level is the year in
which the people exercise their sovereign power to elect their representatives who will
serve in the following mandates for the common interest and good. This year actually
represents what democracy also means “government of the people, by the people, for the
people”. Society is in constant motion, precisely for this reason the need for people to keep
up with new technologies and to adapt quickly is more and more important and this fact
can also be observed during this election period. Classical democracy has had to adapt and
respond to the new challenges brought by artificial intelligence. But, “Which is the
impact of artificial intelligence on democracy?” is the question that led to the creation of
this research study.
The negative effects that artificial intelligence has had over time on democratic
processes have been reiterated in specialized literature, but from the perspective of the
benefits that artificial intelligence brings to them is a topic that still needs research and a
research topic for future studies in the field. This is also the reason why the research
hypothesis of the study is “The positive effects of artificial intelligence on democracy”. To
validate the hypothesis, the study using the descriptive method started from the
presentation of the evolution of artificial intelligence systems, to the current challenges
brought to it, then analyzing the way in which the regulations at the international level,
as well as the European Union respond to them. The practical part of the study, using
documentary analysis, aimed to observed which are the risks of advanced technology and
how them can be countered and turned into benefits for the whole society.

Abstract
The Japanese legal and judicial system is exemplary.
In a single century, Japan went from a feudal legal structure through a legal system
and a practice based on the civil law of Western Europe to a legal system after World War II.
It mied continental and Anglo-American and European legislation. Perhaps the most
remarkable dimension of this evolution is the changing of the role of the governmental
role of the judiciary, from a medieval administrative apparatus to a ledaing
institution that derives directly from the Constitution of Japan
The Japanese legal system as exists today is a combination of civil and common law
caused by the voluntary approval of civil law of continental Europe and the imposition of
common law on Japan after the Second World War.
